This One Habit Will Change Your Life — Forever 🎯

I have a question for you:

What single habit, if practiced consistently for the rest of this year, would have the biggest impact on your health and life?

💡 Take a moment with that. Let it sink in.

Now, here’s the truth…

What if I told you that this daily life-changing habit is:

Taking Action.

Regardless of how you feel.

Are you waiting for the perfect moment?

Why Getting Started or Changing Things Up Feels So Hard

Have you ever gone for a power walk, or a run, or started a workout, and those first two minutes feel like absolute torture?  I sure have.

You think:

😫 Why am I doing this?

😫 This feels too hard.

😫 I’m too tired.

😫 Maybe I should skip today…

But then — around minute six — your body warms up.

Suddenly, it’s not so bad. You feel lighter, stronger, capable.

That’s exactly how showing up works.

It’s terribly uncomfortable at first, but once you take action, resistance begins to fade.

The Science of Resistance: Your Brain is Tricking You 🧠

Did you know your brain is actively working against you?

Your amygdala (the part responsible for fear) hates discomfort, including change. It sees anything difficult and immediately signals:

NOPE.  This is a threat!

It’s the part of your brain that wants to keep you feeling safe (but often keeps you stuck).

But here’s the good news: You can override that alarm.

How?  Taking Action.

✔️ Even the tiniest action tells your brain: This isn’t dangerous. We’re okay.

✔️ Once you start, resistance fades (and your brain rewards with momentum.)

✔️ Every step forward literally rewires your brain, making it easier to show up next time.

Note to Self: Feelings Fluctuate, Truth Guides 🧭

Feelings aren’t always reliable indicators for whether we should take action

And I say this with a smile as a Mimi of nine young grandchildren.

If you’ve spent even a little time with wonderful two-year-olds you know exactly what I mean.

One minute they’re happily enjoying a popsicle…

The next minute they’re in a full meltdown because it’s dripping down their hand.

Two-year-olds feel everything deeply, and their feelings change in minutes (because they live in a two-year-old brain.)

And if we’re honest, fully developed adults can be that way too.

🎯 Our feelings are real and valid — but they don’t always tell us what’s true.

🎯 What if the thing you are hesitating about is exactly where God is leading you — to experience true freedom, transformative healing, and a new calling in your life later that you may not even see yet?

Excuses Are Often Fear in Disguise

Here are some of our go-to excuses:

✖️  I’m too tired.

✖️  I don’t have time.

✖️  What if this new way doesn’t work for me?

✖️  What if I waste my time or finances?

Sound familiar? These excuses feel valid, but they’re often fear and discomfort talking. I’ve seen these keep me from important changes in my life.  And — I’ve learned how important it is to pay attention to that still quiet voice speaking to you.

🤔The next time you hear that voice, probe a little deeper and ask yourself:  What am I afraid of losing?  Is this actually true?

Next question:  What could I potentially gain from taking this first step and starting a new path?  Visualize the possibilities with faith and trust in God.

Small Steps = Massive Results

Think of every action as planting a seed. 🌱

Over time:

✔️ Small seeds become habits.

✔️ Habits that build a new identity.

✔️ Habits that create transformation within you.

Give yourself permission to start small.

You may be surprised how quickly those small steps add up.

A Quick Reflection

Before you move on with your day, take 60 seconds and ask yourself:

What is one small action I could take this week that my future self would thank me for?

For me, often the honest answer is something I’ve been quietly putting off — that I know would reduce stress, honor myself and my loved ones better, and bring more clarity to my days.

A small action could be:

✔️ Changing your schedule to make more time for your highest priority. (Like daily spending time in prayer or more quality time with your child or spouse.)

✔️ Going to bed 30 minutes earlier so your body and mind can truly reset.

✔️ Finally ordering the supplements you’ve been putting off — the ones you know could give your body extra support. And in time, will feel that support.

Those small choices shape more than you realize.

Not a big overhaul.
Not a perfect plan.

Just one honest step forward — today.

Sometimes that single step is exactly where transformation begins.

One More Thing… A Few Supplements I Personally Trust

Many of you ask what I take daily to support energy, mental clarity, and overall wellness.

As a nurse and wellness practitioner, I’m careful about what I recommend. I only share supplements that I personally use and have researched extensively.

After years of studying supplement companies, I trust Thorne for their quality, purity, and science-backed formulations.

A few foundational supplements I often recommend:

Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Powerful for brain health, inflammation balance, and heart support.

 Magnesium Glycinate

Promotes restful night’s sleep, helps relax muscles, supports blood pressure and flow, and insulin sensitivity.

B-Complex Vitamins

Essential for energy production, nervous system support, and mental clarity.

NiaCel 400 (NAD+ support)

Supports cellular energy, healthy aging, and metabolic function.

What I love about Thorne is that their nutrients are biologically recognizable by the body, meaning your body can absorb and use them effectively.

If you’d like to explore them, you can visit my personal Thorne dispensary and receive 20% off your order and free shipping.
